Anxiety Treatment Clinic

McCormick Psychology is primarily a stress and anxiety treatment clinic for all children, teens, and adults. However, we always keep in mind that anxiety does not always exist on it's own. Anxiety can have some common comorbidities, or additional mental health issues that are existing alongside the anxiety, such as ADHD, depression or other mood disorders. To attempt treatment of the anxiety without treating the other issues may limit the success of the anxiety treatment. At McCormick Psychology, we do our best to treat the individual's entire clinical presentation within our scope of competence. If there are other areas such as autism or severe eating disorders, we may choose to refer these individuals to an alternative clinic so they can benefit from working with a specialist in these areas which should increase the likelihood that the treatment they receive will be most helpful.


We may choose to combine evidence informed treatments to try and obtain the best outcome. This is all done in consultation with you. Our hope is that you meet your counselling goals with us and then step out on your own to practice your new skills. We keep our door open for you in the future! If you need to return to our care for a tune-up or check-in session when life throws you a few curve balls we do our best to honor our pre-existing relationship with you! If we feel that your needs have shifted into an area that we aren't the best helpers in, we will try and make some alternative recommendations for you.


Creating a safe setting for you to do your own personal hard work and developing a therapeutic relationship that allows you to feel like there isn't anything that you can't say is at the heart of the services that we aim to provide for you, your child, or your family.
